The Sonata Hybrid gives Hyundai’s already practical midsized sedan an edge in fuel efficiency, while retaining its commuter-friendly attributes. For 2026, the Blue trim joins the existing SEL and Limited as the lineup’s base grade, with a cloth interior, dual-zone automatic temperature control, and proximity entry. As expected, it also leads the lineup in fuel economy, beating the other Sonata Hybrid trims’ highway rating by 5 mpg (56 vs. 51), and outdoing the gas-only Sonata’s base trim’s 28 city/38 highway. In other changes, the now mid-grade SEL receives a panoramic sunroof this model year (previously reserved for the top-of-the-line Limited Hybrid).
