2026 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid
2026 Hyundai
SANTA FE Hybrid
The Santa Fe Hybrid has always had a lot to offer, but this time around there’s something new for the more budget-minded buyer: a lower-priced trim that’s been added at the base level. Elsewhere in the lineup, the SEL gains a third-row USB charging port, and the Limited receives dual wireless smartphone charging pads. Buyers of the Limited now also have the choice between a 6- or 7-seat layout, with the option to swap in a second-row bench seat instead of captain’s chairs. At the top of the hierarchy, the Calligraphy replaces its outgoing Beige interior with a new Pecan Brown color scheme. This gas-electric SUV also sees a 1-mpg improvement in both city and highway fuel efficiency over the 2025 numbers.
Like any other Hyundai, the Santa Fe Hybrid is protected by a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty – the best in the industry – on both the powertrain and the hybrid battery. Owners also get 3 years/36,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance, covering oil changes, tire rotations, and multipoint inspections.

The 2026 Santa Fe Hybrid is offered in four trims: SE, SEL, Limited, and Calligraphy. The powerplant pairs a 178-horsepower 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 44.2-kW electric motor to make a combined 231 horsepower and 271 lb.-ft. of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC paddles completes the powertrain. MacPherson front struts and a multi-link rear suspension, both with gas-filled dampers and a stabilizer bar, are found on every trim.
A front-wheel drivetrain (FWD) is standard, although Hyundai’s HTRAC all-wheel drive (AWD) is available. The entire lineup returns an estimated 37 mpg city and 36 mpg highway with FWD, dropping to 35 mpg city and 34 mpg highway with AWD. The Santa Fe Hybrid comes with a drive mode selector and can tow up to 2,000 pounds when it’s properly equipped.
