ELANTRA Hybrid

2025 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Hero

Since its origin, the Elantra has been known for its low cost of ownership, with fuel economy being a big part of that. The 2025 Elantra Hybrid elevates that efficiency factor to an even more impressive level. With the EPA estimating a return of 51 mpg around town and 58 mpg on the highway for the base trim, this is a gas-electric option that adds to your savings as well as your style factor. The contemporary body design and well-rounded array of interior features keep it in step with higher-priced vehicles in the segment, and Hyundai’s SmartSense technology suite increases your peace of mind on the road.

Model year 2025 brings a new trim, the mid-level SEL Sport, which has the same great attributes of the other trims but with sportier personality. And, adding to the value theme, Elantra Hybrid buyers will save money long-term, thanks to Hyundai’s 10-year/100,000-mile warranty protection and complimentary factory maintenance plan, covering oil changes, multipoint inspections, and tire rotations for three years or 36,000 miles.

Trims, Powertrain, and Fuel Efficiency

The 2025 Elantra Hybrid is available in three trims — Blue, SEL Sport, and Limited. A 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor compose the powertrain, which puts out 139 horsepower. A six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a front-wheel drivetrain round out the mechanical specs. The Blue is the efficiency star, achieving up to 51 mpg city and 58 mpg highway. The SEL Sport and Limited return 49 city/52 highway.

Standard Features by Trim

The Blue blends basic features like fabric upholstery and push-button start with some more advanced amenities such as proximity keyless entry, heated side-view mirrors, and a hands-free smart trunk release. It also has dual-zone automatic climate control, four USB-C charging ports (two front, two back), a 4.2-inch gauge cluster, projector-style LED headlights with automatic on/off feature, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The SEL Sport brings more to the table with a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster (which unites seamlessly with the 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen), a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, wireless phone charging, a rear spoiler, sport alloy pedals, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The Limited goes without the rear spoiler and alloy pedals but adds sophistication with H-Tex (simulated leather) upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, driver’s-seat position memory, a sunroof, Digital Key 2. It also gets upgraded taillights and deluxe side-view mirrors with integrated turn indicators and position memory.

Advanced Safety Equipment

Standard in every 2025 Elantra Hybrid trim, Hyundai’s SmartSense suite packages an array of safety and driver-assistance technologies. That list consists of forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, blind-spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, automatic high beams, driver attention warning, lane keeping and lane following assist, safe exit assist, and rear occupant alert. The Limited is fully loaded, getting highway driving assist, an enhanced forward collision system with cyclist and junction-turning detection, and Smart (adaptive) Cruise Control.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The Blue showcases an 8-inch touchscreen equipped with Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and HD Radio. The higher trims upgrade to a 10.25-inch touchscreen and add SiriusXM satellite radio, Wi-Fi hotspot access, and dynamic voice recognition. While the Blue and SEL Sport get a more basic sound system, the Limited goes fully upscale with a Bose unit, providing a top-level audio experience.
