2021 Hyundai Elantra for Sale in Fairfield, CT

Hyundai has “reimagined” its popular and practical Elantra for model year 2021, with exciting changes inside and out. This marks the start of generation number seven for the compact four-door, which returns with its most daring design ever, with added width and length. It looks almost as if it’s ready to cruise through the atmosphere on rocket fuel – or at least buzz around a race track. That updated shape along with a redesigned fascia make it look like a hot-driving coupe, but with the practicality of four doors.

The biggest detail with the all-new Elantra, though, is the introduction of a hybrid powertrain option. There are also updated technology features, including voice-activated functions (opening/closing windows, turning on seat heaters, opening the trunk, and more), a new platform and powertrain, and Hyundai’s generous bonuses: the industry’s best warranty and three years of complimentary scheduled maintenance (oil/filter changes, tire rotations, and multipoint inspections). Look for the 2021 Hyundai Elantra to be introduced here in mid- to late autumn.

Trims and Powertrain

The trim lineup has changed significantly for the Hyundai Elantra, with the expected SE (base), SEL, and Limited now joined by the debuting Hybrid trim and an exciting performance-boosted variant called the N Line. The base powertrain consists of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 147 horsepower and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The N Line will get an upgraded powertrain, likely a 1.6-liter turbo four with a seven-speed automatic transmission (and possibly a six-speed manual to satisfy the stick-shifting crowd). The Hybrid’s power system is a 1.6-liter gas engine in conjunction with an electric motor system and a six-speed automatic transmission.

Interior Updates

The interior of the 2021 Elantra has been modernized just as the outside has. Its large digital gauge cluster immediately grabs your attention, and if it’s dark out, so does the streamlined LED lighting along the dash. Of course, all trims get a well-stocked infotainment system with at least an 8-inch touchscreen; a 10.25-inch upgraded touchscreen that pops out of the dash will be available. Even the base trim gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, with more communication and audio amenities offered as the trim level climbs. This is also the first Elantra to get Hyundai Digital Key, which allows locking, unlocking, and ignition functions via smartphone.

Active Safety Features

Hyundai SmartSense is standard fare on all versions of the ’21 Elantra. This safety-enhancing technology suite includes forward collision avoidance assist, driver attention warning, lane keeping assist, high beam assist, and lane following assist. Other state-of-the-art driver aids are available, such as dynamic cruise control, a blind-spot monitor (with rear cross-traffic alert), and highway drive assist.
