Hyundai Lease End Options

As your maturity date approaches, it will be time to consider all of your Hyundai lease end options. You will have to choose whether to buy out the contract and keep the car, to return it and take on a new Hyundai lease or purchase, or simply turn it in and walk away.

No matter which way you go, you'll need to follow a set of steps beginning within a few months of your contract's ending date. Be sure to set a reminder so that you don't find yourself owing additional charges for a late return.

Buy Out Your Hyundai Lease

When you've loved your leased vehicle and have maintained it well, you can be confident that it's good for more years of reliable transportation. Many people who would otherwise be in the market for a preowned vehicle feel more peace of mind buying out the car that they've leased and properly cared for; there are no mysteries with this Hyundai lease end option. If you decide you want to keep the vehicle, call or head in to Balise Hyundai of Fairfield and ask to speak with a Lease-End Advisor. That helpful representative will guide you through the steps to getting your buyout quote.

Lease Another Hyundai

With so many beautiful, well-equipped cars, crossovers, and SUVs in stock at Balise Hyundai of Fairfield, it's convenient and easy to just move right in to a new lease here. Hyundai offers great incentives to returning lessees, such as waiving the disposition fee on the returned vehicle, making this a really attractive lease-end option. Your representative at Balise Hyundai will happily run through the offers in effect as your contract ends.

Return the Leased Vehicle

If you would rather just drop off the Hyundai at maturity and take another path, the steps are straightforward. You'll need to have the vehicle assessed, sign an odometer statement, and make your final payment based on its condition and mileage. All of this is outlined below.

The Hyundai Lease End Process

To help make this part of the process as easy as possible, you'll receive a 120-Day Lease-End Kit just over four months prior to your maturity date. This detailed guide will help you through the necessary steps outlined here:

1.      Get an idea of your vehicle's condition with the Wear and Use Estimation Tool. This resource helps identify condition issues you can improve before the vehicle is inspected for valuation.

2.      Two months before lease end, schedule your no-cost third-party inspection to get the official condition report for the vehicle.

3.      Schedule your lease-end appointment at Balise Hyundai of Fairfield, within one month of your maturity date. If you've been paying by automatic debit each month, cancel those payments now.

4.      Make your final payment and prepare the vehicle for return. This is when you'll settle up all remaining charges (including any for damage, excess mileage, or late payments). Make sure that all original equipment and accessories are in the vehicle, including the owner's manual and all keys, and that you've removed all of your personal belongings. You'll also need to turn in your signed odometer statement and turn-in receipt.
