Hyundai presents the Santa Fe Hybrid in three trim levels: SEL, Limited, and Calligraphy. Each edition relies on a hybrid powertrain that combines a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor to generate 231 total horsepower. A six-speed automatic transmission manages power delivery to either the standard front-wheel drivetrain (FWD) or the available HTRAC all-wheel drivetrain (AWD).
With FWD, the Santa Fe Hybrid’s EPA-rated city fuel economy is 36 mpg, while its highway rating is 35 mpg. AWD Santa Fe Hybrids return 35 mpg around town and 34 mpg on the open road. Cargo capacity measures 14.6 cubic feet behind the third row, which will expand to 40.5 cubic feet with the third row folded flat, and 79.6 cubic feet when both the second and third rows are down. When it’s properly equipped, the 2025 Santa Fe Hybrid can tow up to 2,000 pounds.
The SEL opens the Santa Fe Hybrid range with ample standard amenities, including seating for seven, H-Tex leatherette upholstery, a hands-free power liftgate, heated front seats, an eight-way power driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control with vents for all three rows, proximity keyless entry with push-button start, Digital Key, and LED exterior lighting with automatic headlights. Also standard are a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, 4.2-inch information display, rear privacy glass, heated power side mirrors with integrated turn indicators, roof rails, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, LED interior lighting, four USB ports, wireless device charging, and 18-inch wheels.
The Limited gives you additional comforts, including leather seating surfaces, a dual-panel sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, a driver’s position memory system, additional power lumbar controls for the driver’s seat, and a six-way power front passenger seat. Hyundai also upgrades this mid-grade trim with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, rear window sunshades, premium headliner material, UV-C sanitizing capability in the upper glove compartment, power-folding side mirrors, a 110-volt AC power outlet, third-row USB ports, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, ambient interior lighting, automatic windshield wipers, and 20-inch wheels. The range-topping Calligraphy is loaded with Nappa leather upholstery, massaging front seats, power-adjustable second-row captain’s chairs (changing the passenger capacity to six), a head-up display, dual wireless device charging capability, a digital rearview mirror, and a microfiber headliner.
Every 2025 Santa Fe Hybrid receives Hyundai’s SmartSense safety technology suite. This package includes forward collision avoidance with multiple detection capabilities (pedestrian, cyclist, and junction turning), lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, forward attention warning, forward attention monitoring, blind-spot warning (upgraded to active collision avoidance in the Calligraphy), rear cross-traffic collision prevention, adaptive cruise control, parking sensors in both the front and rear (with additional side sensors in the Limited and Calligraphy), rear occupant alert, driver attention warning, and safe exit assistance. The Limited and Calligraphy also offer subscription-based access to a Wi-Fi hotspot. For audio, there’s a basic sound system in the SEL, while the Limited and Calligraphy upgrade to a premium Bose setup with a dozen speakers.
