The trio of Ioniq 6 trims consists of the SE, SEL, and Limited. All of them come with a 168-kW electric motor making 225 horsepower. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) is standard; with the optional all-wheel drive (AWD), a 74-kW electric motor will be added to the front axle, increasing the output to 320 combined horsepower. Both powertrains get their energy from a 77.4kWh high-voltage traction battery.
With RWD, the SE has a combined MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) of 140 and a range of up to 361 miles. With AWD, the SE is rated for 121 MPGe and a 316-mile range. The SEL and Limited have the same ratings: 117 MPGe and a 305-mile range when equipped with RWD or 103 MPGe and a 270-mile range with AWD. The Ioniq 6 can be recharged from 10% to 80% in about 18 minutes via a Level 3/DC fast charger. A 240-volt charging system performs the same task in under 7 hours.
The highlights of the SE trim’s standard features are heated front seats, an eight-way power driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, a hands-free trunk release, LED exterior lighting with automatic headlights, and 18-inch alloy wheels. It also has fabric upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated power side mirrors, five USB ports (three front/two rear), and a 60/40-split folding rear seat. The SEL is upgraded with H-Tex upholstery, Digital Key (a smartphone app for vehicle access without a physical key), multi-color ambient cabin lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and 20-inch alloy wheels. The Limited expands the SEL’s feature list with a sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an eight-way power front passenger seat, a driver’s memory system, black-finish exterior accents, heated power-folding side mirrors, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Hyundai also gives the Limited a vehicle-to-load (V2L) system to power external devices, tools, and other electrical equipment.
All Ioniq 6 trims come with SmartSense, a grouping of the latest driver-assist technologies. The suite contains forward collision-avoidance assist (with pedestrian and cyclist detection), lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, blind-spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, adaptive cruise control, highway driving assist, and front and rear parking sensors. Hyundai also includes driver-attention warning, safe exit warning, speed limit assist, and rear occupant alert. The SEL and Limited also get blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, junction turning collision-avoidance assist, enhanced highway driving assist, and upgraded adaptive cruise control. Exclusive to the Limited are a surround-view monitor, a blind-spot view monitor, Remote Smart Parking Assist (semi-autonomous parking support), and parking collision-avoidance assist.
Every Ioniq 6 has a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a multi-speaker audio system (the Limited receives a Bose upgrade). Wireless device charging is included with the SEL and Limited. All trims have access to Hyundai Bluelink connected services for emergency help and remote features.
