The 2024 IONIQ 5 comes in four trim packages: SE Standard Range, SE, SEL, and Limited. The all-electric powertrain showcases a single electric motor on the rear wheels that creates 168 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque (SE Standard). The other trims include a long-range battery that enables 225 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque with rear-wheel drive, or an all-wheel drive setup rated for 320 horsepower and 446 lb.-ft. of torque. Depending on the configuration, the IONIQ 5 can tow up to 2,300 pounds.
The SE Standard Range supplies average range of 220 miles. The same rating on the more powerful battery is up to 303 miles, while the AWD configuration drops slightly to a maximum of 260 miles. Rapid charging from 10% to 80% takes only 18 minutes.
The SE Standard Range and SE have cloth seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, a 6-way manually adjustable passenger seat, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, proximity key with push-button start, 5 USB ports (3 in front, 2 in rear), 60/40-split folding rear seats with recline and slide, heated side mirrors, LED headlights, automatically retracting exterior door handles, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The SEL adds a heated steering wheel, wireless device charging, the Hyundai Digital Key, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, second-row heat/AC vents, and a hands-free power liftgate with an adjustable height setting. In the Limited you’ll find H-Tex upholstery, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, an 8-way power-adjustable passenger seat, a head-up display, rear AC vents, ambient interior lighting, a digital rearview mirror with HomeLink, rain-sensing windshield wipers, power-folding side mirrors, and 20-inch alloy wheels (AWD only).
The Ioniq 5 includes the SmartSense suite of driver-assist technologies, featuring rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, a rearview monitor, rear parking sensors, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, driver attention monitoring, safe exit assist, automatic high-beam headlights, a rear-seat alert, and forward automatic emergency braking. Evasive steering assist is added to the SEL and Limited, along with lane-change assist and forward parking sensors. The Limited also gets a surround-view monitor, a blind-spot view monitor, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and reverse parking collision-avoidance assist.
A 12.3-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system is installed in every 2024 Ioniq 5. Its most noteworthy components are Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. A premium Bose sound system is added to the Limited. All trims also come with Bluelink access.
