The front-wheel-drive Elantra Hybrid’s 2024 trim packages are divided into the base Blue and the loaded Limited. Their powertrain is formed by a 1.6-liter Smartstream gasoline engine, a 32-kW electric motor, and a 6-speed EcoShift dual-clutch transmission. This hybrid system is capable of generating up to 139 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque, but the fuel economy ratings will differ slightly between the trims. The Blue achieves an EPA-estimated 51 mpg city/58 mpg highway, while the Limited returns 49 mpg city/52 mpg highway.
Both ‘24 Elantra Hybrid trims have dual 10.25-inch screens: a driver’s-side gauge cluster for diagnostic information and a dash-centered touchscreen for audio/infotainment. The Blue’s other standard equipment includes proximity keyless entry, cloth seating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, dual-zone automatic temperature control, a hands-free smart trunk, dual projector-style automatic LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, heated side-view mirrors, four USB charging ports (two front, two rear), a 12-volt power outlet, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The Limited upgrades to Hyundai Digital Key, leatherette upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, 8-way power-adjustable front seats, wireless device charging, memory settings for the driver’s seat, a sunroof, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Hyundai SmartSense comes standard, equipping every Elantra Hybrid with high beam assist, blind-spot collision warning, forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, driver attention warning, intelligent speed limit assist, lane following assist, lane keeping assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, rear occupant alert, and safe exit assist. The Limited also receives highway driving assist, smart cruise control, parking distance warning (forward/reverse), and an enhanced version of forward collision-avoidance assist with cyclist and junction turning detection plus pedestrian detection.
A 10.25-inch navigation touchscreen infotainment system is found in both trim levels. Its features include Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth hands-free phone and wireless audio streaming, HD Radio, SiriusXM satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and the Bluelink+ Connected Car System. The Limited also gets dynamic voice recognition and improves the sound situation with a premium Bose unit with 8 speakers, a subwoofer, and center channel technology.
