New Hyundai 2022 Hyundai Tucson PHEV for Sale in Fairfield, CT

Overview
Hyundai recently welcomed a new choice to its lineup, the first-ever Tucson Plug-in Hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). Many drivers will appreciate not just the increased fuel efficiency but also the convenience of all-electric power for local trips and the extended range of a gas-powered engine for longer distances. The Tucson PHEV blends a state-of-the-art powertrain and crisply styled exterior with all the best features and versatility of a compact crossover. Inside, you’ll find generous accommodations for five and plenty of space for cargo, not to mention a towing capacity of up to 2,000 pounds.
The Tucson PHEV is backed by America’s Best Warranty, which provides bumper-to-bumper coverage for 5 years/60,000 miles and 10 years/100,000 miles of powertrain protection. Hyundai also includes 3 years of complimentary scheduled maintenance and 5 years of 24/7 roadside assistance. Plus, the hybrid system and electric drivetrain battery are covered for 10 years/100,000 miles. While this overview looks at just the Tucson PHEV, you’ll find separate pages devoted to the other versions of Tucson (the conventional gas-powered, sporty N Line, and regular Hybrid).
Mechanical Specs
The 2022 Tucson PHEV is available in two trims, the SEL and Limited. Under the hood is a hybrid setup consisting of a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and a 66.9-kW electric motor that combine to put out 261 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission manages the HTRAC all-wheel-drive system that comes standard. Recharging the 13.8-kWh battery takes less than 2 hours via a 240-volt outlet. According to the EPA, the Tucson PHEV is rated for an electric-only range of 33 miles; the EPA-estimated MPGe rating is 80. In hybrid mode, the vehicle has a combined (highway and city) rating of 35 mpg.
