This compact SUV is perfectly suited for the urban adventurer, as it has a surprising amount of cargo room but is still small enough to navigate narrow city streets and make tight turns. The Venue’s stylish design combined with its innovative technology and emphasis on safety will help it stand out among its segment of small, car-based utility vehicles. It will be loaded with ample driver assist features to help you avoid obstacles and stay safe wherever your plans take you.

One of the biggest advantages of purchasing a Hyundai is the peace of mind that you get from being backed by the best warranty in the industry. Like all Hyundais, the Venue will be covered by an outstanding 5-year/60,000-mile limited warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. When you couple these generous warranties with the Venue’s low purchase price, it easily proves to be one of the best values out there.

Trims and Mechanical Features

The five-passenger Venue will be available in two trim levels: SE and SEL. Both trims will be powered by a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that delivers 121 horsepower and 113 lb.-ft. of torque; this engine is paired with a 6-speed manual or continuously variable transmission. The Venue is expected to deliver a city/highway combined fuel economy of 33 mpg, but the official EPA figures have yet to be announced.

The entry-model SE trim will get an 8-inch touchscreen display, automatic headlights, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, and a generous number of advanced technology and safety features. Upgrading to the SEL model will add 15-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, a six-speaker sound system, and front and rear skid plates. The SEL trim will also be eligible for some feature-rich bundled options, in the form of Convenience, Premium, Sunroof, and Connectivity packages.

Technology & Safety

The Venue offers an astounding amount of innovative technology that you won’t find on most vehicles. To start, the SE trim is expected to come standard with Bluetooth audio streaming, USB connectivity, four speakers, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and remote keyless entry. The SEL trim is where you should find a lot more options for advanced technology. The Convenience Package adds two more USB ports and push-button start, while the Connectivity Package adds built-in navigation and Hyundai’s Blue Link Connected Car System, which allows your vehicle to connect with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, so that you can even start your car by simply speaking into your Amazon Alexa or Google device.

The Venue could be one of the safest compact crossovers yet. The base-model Venue will be equipped with an advanced airbag system, stability and traction control, ABS, brake assist, and some very helpful driver assistance technology. Some of the entry-model Venue’s active safety features include forward collision avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, lane keeping assist, and driver attention warning. Other optional driver-assistive features include blind-spot collision warning and rear collision cross-traffic warning systems.
